Why attend both, the EBAN Congress and Latitude59?

EBAN (European Business Angels Network), as the name says, is an organization that connects business angels from all over Europe to strengthen collaboration and share knowledge between them. In the Annual Congress, you will be presented with outstanding keynotes and panels that inspire and give high-quality information about the current insights into the angel investment world. More than 50 speakers will share the latest insights into angel and VC investing, current startup trends and discuss over the geopolitical risks and opportunities. Mikko Silventola (Bolt early investor, Superangel), Martin Villig (Bolt founder), Nora Bavey (Unconventional VC), Risto Siilasmaa (With Secure), Ivo Ronner (Swiss Post Ventures), Rainer Saks (CybExer Technologies), Dāvis Siksnāns (Printful) and many more will step on the stage. See the EBAN Congress full lineup here.

EstBAN has partnered up with Latitude59 for many years now since we’ve had the syndicate investment for startups who apply for the L59 Pitching Competition. This year, the Latitude59’s Pitch Competition has once again broken records – a total of 526 applications were submitted, which is almost a hundred more than the previous year. The top 40 have now been selected and the pre-finals have been announced! Who will win the €1 million syndicate this time, led by EstBAN and Specialist VC? The winners will be announced at Latitude59 on May 24!

The angel investors and VCs play a pivotal role in startup and tech scene

In Estonia, renowned for its vibrant tech scene, business angels have been instrumental in fueling innovation. With their investment and guidance, startups have been able to navigate challenges, scale rapidly, and disrupt industries. EBAN Congress Tallinn organizer’s, EstBAN’s, CEO Anu Oks says that business angels play an important role in shaping the entrepreneurial landscape: “Angel investors’ impact echoes through the ecosystem, providing crucial early-stage funding, mentorship, and expertise to budding startups. We’re excited to host hundreds of European investors this May, but we’re just as happy to extend the congress with Latitude59 and make this whole week one of a kind. EBAN Congress won’t probably happen again in Estonia in many years to come, so let’s make this week unforgettable altogether.”

Estonian and European business angels have been an integral part of Latitude59 for over a decade, so we’re really happy that we can kick off the Latitude59 week with the EBAN congress this time, taking place on May 20-22. All the business angels attending EBAN are welcome to join in for the startup and tech conference Latitude59 on May 22-24.

PS. Don’t think too long – the last chance to get an Early Bird rate is April 19!
