SINCE 2012

NAIROBI: NOV 28, 2024

TALLINN: MAY 21-23, 2025

All the reasons and more to attend L59 2020

While taking place on 27 and 28 August in Tallinn physically, in the true spirit of being the flagship event of e-Estonia, it will also be available online, all around the world.

Yes, Latitude59 will take place as a hybrid this time around and no, that doesn’t mean that we’ve pivoted into a car manufacturer. Instead, the whole team is working hard to offer the same Latitude59 experience both off- and online. We’ve adapted our whole concept to reflect these uncertain times and are focusing on startup-investor relationships even more than usual.

What’s in it for startups?

The startups will get the best of both worlds, online and offline. We are expecting about 1000 participants to join us in Tallinn but we will connect an unlimited number of people around the world to the event buzz through our online platform.

Investors are already lining up to meet you, see the first confirmed VC funds here. Connect with not only investors but other startups and meet your new partner, employee or co-founder, or learn about all the e-services that Estonia has to offer. Matchmaking supported by Karma VC will be open for the whole week on the Talque platform and on 27 – 28 August physically in Kultuurikatel.

We’ve also adapted our pitching competition and will be streaming the pre-finals of the top 50 startup pitches on 3 – 7 August. Be ready to get inspired by those startups who have remained creative and resilient during these difficult times. The teams making it to the final will compete for a 200K EUR syndicate from EstBAN and 10K EUR cash prize from Latitude59, many more prizes to be added.

Apply by 27 July

And that’s not all. For the first time ever  Latitude59 is hosting mentoring sessions with experts worldwide. We’ve recruited our speakers from 2020 and previous years to commit their time to host themed mentoring sessions such as:

  • Fundraising – crafting the perfect narrative and thinking strategically
  • Building your IP strategy
  • Building your one-page sales playbook
  • Product delivery for technical teams
  • No-BS marketing framework for startups

Online Demo Area

Chosen startups will also get a chance to host a demo booth at our online demo area powered by Tehnopol. It’s the perfect chance to showcase your startup to the most active investors in the region and get media visibility in the European tech sites. Tehnopol Startup Incubator team will also be present at the physical event in Kultuurikatel, doing onsite video interviews with some of the highlighted startups and showcasing the demo area teams at the physical event.

For investors

We are expecting a record number of startups to participate this year and as usual Latitude59 will be the place to meet the hottest and up and coming startups from the Baltic Sea region. There will also be a dedicated investor breakfast in collaboration with Invest Estonia on 27 August to offer investors a chance to get to know each other, talk shop and exchange dealflows.

We’ll also connect to our Invest Estonia partners in Sweden and to Fukuoka Startup City and JETRO Japan.
