The World Summit Awards is an international award presented to startups that contribute to the benefit of their communities through digital solutions. WSA’s global network consists of 182 United Nation Member States. Each year, the awards are presented at the WSA Global Congress, where 40 national WSA winners compete globally across 8 categories.

The WSA network unlocks an international community of like-minded tech entrepreneurs around the world
World Summit Awards is a nomination based award system with multiple qualification rounds, bringing together all UN member states from around the world, while showcasing humanities most impactful startups and digital solutions! Each country is represented by a WSA National Expert, who is responsible for overseeing the nominations on a local level. Estonia’s National Expert is currently Liisi Org, the CEO of Latitude59.
To run for the World Summit Awards, all candidates need to fill the application form, providing a brief overview of your solution, which category you’d like to apply under, and which UN SDG goals you are contributing towards with your solution (you might want to check out the submission guide, if you have questions). Upon deadline, all national-level applications will be reviewed by the local expert as each country is eligible to nominate one project/solution per WSA category per year.
The final nominees will be presented to the international jury to run for the global World Summit Awards, taking place in India in April 2025.
The WSA Young Innovator is a special category, dedicated to solutions that:
If chosen as the winner of the Estonian National Contest, your solution will continue on to the Jury phase.
During this stage, the nominees will be evaluated by an international WSA jury.
The winners of this round will be announced in January 2025.
The Global Congress will take place on April 6 to 9, 2025 in India.
The winners of each category will be invited to the WSA Global Congress in Hyderabad, India, and the Global Champions will be announced.
