Latitude59, the Estonian flagship startup and technology conference, puts once again €1M prize pool for the Latitude59’s Pitch Competition – this makes it the largest competition of its kind in the Nordic countries and the Baltics. 

Last year, the Latitude59 exceeded its promise to issue an investment of up to €1M – in total, three startups shared a 1,2 million euro investment in 2023 (and a few more startups from among the top 10 landed a deal with the investors!). This year Latitude59’s Pitch Competition is back! 

“Latitude59 has evolved beyond a startup and technology conference, now it is a platform and connection point for innovation, people, and the world. Latitude59’s Pitch Competition is back and for the second year in a row we are putting out an investment for startups in Estonia and all over the world,” says Latitude59’s CEO Liisi Org.

Latitude59 puts the €1M prize pool in collaboration with two investors. Who is behind the investment remains a secret. For now: “Indeed, it remains a secret for now, and for good reason. What we can reveal is that both funds are looking for startups with the potential for global impact and growth,” added Liisi Org.

According to Triin Ilves, the manager of startup relations at Latitude59, early-stage startups from Estonia and all over the world are invited to apply. “Last year’s competition was impressive, with almost 400 startups from 67 countries applying. So once again we have a challenge for you  – apply to raise up to 1 million euros,” said Ilves.

The application deadline for Latitude59 Pitch Competition is April 1, 2024. From among all the applying startups, a selection will be made – the 40 strongest teams will be selected to pass to semifinals for professional pitch training, mentoring, and eventually the week of live broadcasts that can be followed online. The different stages of the  Latitude59’s Pitch Competition will take place in May, with the TOP5 reaching the final. The finals will take place on the main stage of the Latitude59 startup conference on May 24, 2024.

In 2024, Latitude59 will take place for the twelfth year in a row in Tallinn, Estonia – one of the most digitally advanced countries in the world, and the record-holder for most unicorns and investments raised per capita in the world. This year, nearly 3,000 participants, including 800 startup representatives and 500 investors from around the world, are expected to attend the event.
