Priit is the CEO and co-founder of Dermtest, a complete software toolkit for fighting skin cancer. Dermtest’s goal is to increase access & quality of care for dermatology-related diseases. The early detection solution is locally accessible to 2 million people in 3 European countries. More than 50 hospitals and health centers are in Dermtest’s network of melanoma-fighting clinics, helping to save about 15 million euros of public health insurance money by better access to diagnosis and prevention of late-stage treatment costs.
Priit’s mission is also supporting the development of Estonian digital health society. He is the program head at TalTech digital health MSc curriculum and board member at Connected Health Cluster – the Estonian health tech community.
His previous work includes 10+ years of health analytics, policy research and digital health implementation in public, NGO and private sector. He has co-authored a number of high-impact policy papers, including national telemedicine and personalized medicine implementation plans and developed a long-term solvency model for national health insurance.
Priit believes that healthcare can be improved with specialized yet highly connected digital services, which cover the full care process, are focused on value, have measurable outcomes and are implemented with smart change management.
