Ravi Belani is a Stanford educator on entrepreneurship, seed investor, and former venture capitalist with Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ).
Ravi currently runs the Alchemist Accelerator, a venture-backed accelerator focused on startups whose revenue comes from enterprises (not consumers).
Ravi formerly spent six years at the global headquarters (in Menlo
Park, California) of venture capital fund DFJ, where he led the investments (as the initial institutional investor) in companies such as Pubmatic, Komli, and Justin.TV. Prior to DFJ,
Ravi was a Strategy Consultant at McKinsey & Company's San Francsico office, and a product manager at two Kleiner Perkins startups. Ravi holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BS and MS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, where he teaches the entrepreneurship survey course, "The Spirit of Entrepreneurship".
